K. M. Yusuf
Khawaja Muhammad Yusuf is the founder and patron of the Company. Prior to his business endeavor, K. M. Yusuf was a member of the management team of The English Electric Company Limited, London, UK – the company that built The English Electric Lightning fighter aircraft and B-58 Canberra Bombers, diesel electric locomotives & electrical switchgear among other premier engineering products.
Zahid H. Chaudhary
The capability of Zahid Chaudhary speaks volumes as he, in his thirty plus years’ experience, has maintained a remarkable esteem working with public and private organizations. He was a key member (Executive Director) of the leadership team put together to bring about an organizational change at KESC. The achievements and dedication towards every title, Zahid also worked with a values-based Global Power Company AES in two different locations: Dubai and Lal Pir. He has also worked for Gibbs and Hill (U.S.A), ICI Pakistan, Allied Signal (U.S.A), City of Chicago, and Zelins. He is a qualified engineer with an M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from IIT Chicago. With all the qualifications in hand, he also holds OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Certification.
He is experienced in managing HR aspects of organizations and utilities. Zahid developed and implemented HR strategies and policies at AES and initiated the Emerging Leaders Program for AES people at LUMS. The program was jointly developed by AES, LUMS, and Darden Business School. He has a vast experience in carrying out potential assessment, succession planning, and Training Needs Analysis. Zahid Chaudhary holds a massive experience in managing all aspects of integrated Supply Chain operations including procurement, logistics & inventory management.
He has enormous experience in understanding, implementing, and auditing HSSE systems. Zahid played an instrumental role in developing and implementing EMS & SMS in the Oasis Group plants of AES. He Led and carried out environmental and safety audits in Cameroon, Ukraine, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, and China. Zahid advised KESC on developing HSE Policy, SMS, EMS, and a comprehensive monitoring and auditing system. He planned and organized revamping of Safety in KESC.
Zahid was called over for Systems Development and Training of new inductees at AES VCM Power Plant in Vietnam. He was instrumental in setting up Genco Holding Company in the Power Generation sector of the GOP. He launched TQM & Behavior Based Safety at ICI Pakistan Limited – an Akzonobel company. Zahid carried out HSE related consulting and training at Termotasajero Colombia, Lotte, Pepsico, and PPL.
Rashid Kamal
Rashid Kamal has made his way into every field belonging to distinctive characteristics for over 30 years. These experiences are associated to both private and multinational organizations. He has played an important role as a key member of ICI Pakistan manufacturing team for recognizing the root cause of the obstacles in the company’s path to progress and eliminating them by bringing consequential changes and improvisations. He did so by merging teams and developing new strategies. Among the many improvements he brought to the organization is a successful cost reduction drive, plant capacity enhancement using innovation, and step change in product quality improvement.
Part of his experience pertains to the time spent in the Fauji Fertilizer Company at their Complex at Goth Machhi, Sadiqabad for approximately four years. Most of Rashid’s experience and mastery over numerous attributes of improving products and making them worth of any attention is due to the time spent by him in ICI – twenty six years – shifting to different positions time and again which enabled him to learn about different functions of his department itself and other departments as well.
Serving as a Chemical Engineer, he made himself useful with an experience in handling the process of setting up new plants and other features of manufacturing including maintenance, operations, HSE, and Supply Chain Management in Fertilizer, Paints, and Chemicals industry.
Rashid Kamal is experienced in selecting, implementing, and auditing HSSE systems. He implemented a strong Behavior Based Safety system at Specialty Chemicals (SC) and Polyester Plant of ICI Pakistan. As HSE Manager he led the team to get ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certification at SC Business.
Rashid played a pivotal role in achieving MRP-II status at ICI paints. He initiated a Cost Reduction drive both at Polyester and SC Businesses of ICI and successfully achieved savings of millions of rupees within one year. Cost reduction drive included energy conservation through detailed energy audits and identified improvements.
Rashid got training and certification of Hazard Study Leader from Hazard Study College of ICI UK and remained a member of several hazard studies in ICI Pakistan.
